Gabriela Garza

MA, LPC Associate, NCC Supervised by Collin A. Krejci, MA, LPC-S, CATP, MT-BC

Gabby earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of Texas at San Antonio, and went on to receive her Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health with a specialty in children and adolescents from Northwestern University. Her professional journey includes working at Promise Center for Autism as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), eventually transitioning into the role of Operations Coordinator. In that position, she helped create streamlined processes to ensure a smoother, more supportive, and accessible onboarding experience for incoming families. Through her foundational years at Promise, she developed a deep, lasting passion for supporting neurodivergent families and advocating for accessibility among marginalized groups.

As a clinician, Gabby’s highest priority is ensuring her clients feel deeply safe within a vulnerable therapeutic space. She operates from a trauma-informed, LGBTQ+ and gender-affirming framework, focusing intently on the unique cultural identity, intersectional background, and distinct lived experiences each individual brings. Her approach ensures cultural humility and advocacy remain central to the healing process.

Gabby utilizes play therapy for children (ages 5+) and supports neurodivergent families navigating unique dynamics and systemic challenges. She also works extensively with teens, college students, and adults navigating major life transitions, mental health challenges, and personal growth. To make therapy uniquely tailored, her integrative style blends psychodynamics, multicultural therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and somatic techniques to foster deep self-acceptance and healing.

Born and raised in San Antonio, Gabby currently resides in her hometown. Outside of her clinical practice, she loves spending quality time with her family, curating Spotify playlists, and laughing with her favorite Peloton instructors during her workouts.
