Karla Garza

Karla Garza, MS, CCC-SLP, is a bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences from The University of Texas at Austin and went on to complete her Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology at UT Austin. During her graduate training, she also earned a Bilingual Certificate, further strengthening her ability to provide services in both English and Spanish.

Karla has several years of experience working in the pediatric field. Prior to becoming a Speech-Language Pathologist, she worked as a bilingual Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in both school and clinical settings. Throughout her graduate training and professional experience, she gained exposure across a variety of settings including private clinics, pediatric acute care, and the NICU, developing skills in language development, articulation, feeding, and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC).

Originally from a border town in Texas, Karla is fully bilingual in English and Spanish and is passionate about supporting bilingual families and culturally diverse communities. She works closely with ABA teams, occupational therapists, and families to support children’s communication development. Her focus in therapy is providing engaging, play-based, and functional communication opportunities that help children build independence and confidence in their everyday environments.Karla currently lives in San Antonio and enjoys baking, doing creative projects, and spending time outdoors.
