Luana Gajes Chaves is a certified occupational therapy assistant. She is currently in grad school pursuing her Masters degree in Occupational Therapy to be an OT. Luana has been in this field for over 10 years, working with children and adults on the autism spectrum as a 1:1 respite worker and then becoming a group home manager for adults with autism. Luana joined Promise Center for Autism in May 2026. She is originally from Uruguay, but grew up in Asheville, NC and currently lives in San Antonio. She is a bilingual therapist and enjoys working with children while also collaborating with their team and with parents to ensure follow through at home. During her free time, Luana enjoys catching up with friends over coffee, spending time with her husband and dogs, playing soccer, and being outside.
