Megan May

Megan is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of Texas at San Antonio in 2004, and went on to receive her Master’s in Education with a focus in literacy from Concordia University Austin in 2009, and then completed all of the BCBA coursework from Florida Institute of Technology in 2013. Megan has worked in the field of ABA with children, adolescents, and adults with autism since 2012. She has worked in a variety of settings including schools, homes, daycares, multidisciplinary clinics, and adult day-habs. Megan began working for Promise Center for Autism at the beginning of April of 2022. 

 

As Director of Clinical Strategy, Megan serves as a senior clinical leader and strategic advisor at Promise Center, helping shape clinical programs, standards, and organizational growth. She partners directly with executive leadership to evaluate clinical opportunities, navigate complex decisions, and ensure that the organization’s strategic direction remains grounded in high-quality, evidence-based practice. Alongside her leadership responsibilities, she continues to provide clinical supervision and support the development of therapists and clinical services.

 Megan’s main areas of focus include using person centered and compassionate practices that incorporate Hanley’s Skills Based Treatment, Pivotal Response Training, Naturalistic Teaching, and building genuine connections and relationships with all clients and their families.

 

Megan currently lives in Dallas with her husband, 2 young boys ages 4 and 7, and 2 dogs.  She enjoys spending time with her family, reading, doing fun things outdoors with her children and pets, and cooking.
